Travel Hockey
KAHA offers Travel teams at the Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam & Midget divisions. These Travel teams offer our skilled players the opportunity to compete against other teams in our geographic area (AL, GA, OH, NC, SC, KY). Our travel teams compete in the Southern Youth Travel Hockey League (SYTHL) and are proud members of USA Hockey. Over the past decade KAHA has helped kids move on to elite hockey prep schools, Tier 1 programs, Junior A programs and ACHA College Teams.
Ages
It is the intention of KAHA & Cool Sports to ice a travel team at each age group (10u – 18u). Final determination on number of teams will be made based on the volume and talent of players at tryouts.
TRYOUT & EQUIPMENT/APPAREL INFO
When
Season kicks off with a High-powered weekend over Labor Day and will run through February of 2025.
**U10 will kick off August 10-11 with a MANDATORY leveling tournament in Huntsville, AL.
Where
Most all practices are held at Cool Sports located off of Watt Road in Knoxville, TN.
Practices
Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
Games
Teams will play 30-50 games over the course of the season depending on age level and will usually fall on the weekends.
Jerseys
Jerseys, Socks, helmet, gloves, hockey bag and other required attire will be ordered at time of acceptance.
Players wishing to try-out or play at a level higher than age dedicated will need to complete a play-up form and return to Tim Sinasac (TimSinasac@gmail.com) prior to taking the ice.
